Big Pine Comedy Festival - Thursday
Big Pine Comedy Festival - Thursday
Big Pine Comedy Festival returns for its third year, bringing together comedians from across North America for three days of nonstop laughter through stand-up, improv and sketch comedy. The festival take places Sept. 14-16 in popular venues throughout Flagstaff.

Big Pine Comedy Festival celebrates the Arizona arts community through performance and education, connecting artists with local businesses and audiences. This year, Big Pine will feature more than 80 local and nationally touring comedians in eight venues throughout historic downtown Flagstaff, and the NAU Prochnow theatre. The festival is organized by Hillary Hutson of Broken Crown Productions, comedian Jack Galvin, and a network of local Arizona comedy producers.

Big Pine features comedic performances from national headlining comedians Bruce Jingles, K-Von, Allison Gill, Freddy Lockhart, Brandt Tobler, Jack Assadourian Jr., Marsha Warfield, and Steven Roberts. The weekend schedule includes showcases in the areas of stand up, improv, and sketch comedy, as well as one-of-a-kind musical comedy routines, a special screening premier of the film Elastic Heart, and appearances and signings from national authors.

In addition to the stellar lineup of performances, Big Pine Comedy Festival will host a series of comedy workshops and seminars covering all areas of comedy and children’s programming, including a presentation on the influence of social media in the comedy industry by social media expert Dan Ziiffer. Workshops are available to all interested comedians, up-and-coming performers, and the public.

Ticket prices to individual shows range between $5 and $15. Weekend passes include entry to all weekend events, shows, and after parties and are available for $45. Information on the festival lineup and seminar schedule is available at
Anger Management featuring Bruce Jingles
Big Pine Comedy Festival and JesterComedy bring Bruce Jingles to the historic Orpheum
theatre! Anger Management features flagstaff favorite, JC Anderson as hot, some of Big Pine
Comedy Festivals favorite comedians, and the very funny Bruce Jingles! Bruce, a steady fixture
in the Southern California comedy scene, was born to be a showman. His comedic brand
blends just the right amount of wit, impersonation, and essential timing, making him a hit in front
of any crowd. A man of many hobbies, Jingles captures a crowd with a propensity for pot, a love
of comic books, and a soft spot for storytelling. Whether he’s impersonating drunks, juxtaposing
stereotypes, or recounting his various run-ins with the law, Jingles’ material is endearingly
eloquent and rife with intelligence. Jingles has also done considerable work in radio,
participating in shows on KCAA NBC-AM, as well as several established podcasts, adding
another layer to his already engaging performance. Jingles has taken his compelling act all over
the country, as well as overseas, entertaining troops as part of several USO tours. Jingles’
expansive body of work has been showcased on networks such as ABC, VH1, NUVOTV, and
two Showtime specials. He appeared in the 2008 dark comedy,” Driving Bill Crazy”, has even
appeared on TMZ. Join the Orpheum for 90 minutes of laughter featuring Bruce Jingles and
some of Big Pine Comedy Festival’s top comedians.
