Flagstaff Mountain Film Festival: Fall Showcase
Flagstaff Mountain Film Festival: Fall Showcase
In partnership with The Honors College, NAU and The Orpheum Theater, we bring an array of films that capture how cultures will continue to thrive in the face of climate change, and also modernity. These are films that celebrate the indomitable spirit, reveal human ingenuity and resourcefulness in the face of adversity, and generate the most illuminating discussions on the fate of humankind.

Our feature film is ‘Adaptation: Bangladesh’ by Justin Deshields. Alizé Carrère, Cultural Ecologist, National Geographic Explorer, and subject of the film will be here to present this work, the first in a series of remarkable real-life examples of how people are adapting and innovating in the face of environmental change.

A number initiatives, environmental groups and nonprofits will be present in order to engage with the public on issues of local, national and global importance.
Women's Film Festival: "Women Rise"
October is 'Domestic Violence Awareness Month' and in partnership with The Orpheum Theatre and Flagstaff Birth and Women's Center we are bringing you a night of inspirational films from around the world, films that showcase women pushing boundaries, challenging ideas and paving the way for many of us to follow. With a special guest and many local women's groups, charities and nonprofits joining us for the evening, we will be raising some funds for a local lifeline for women and their children; Sharon Manor. Sharon Manor, is a transitional housing solution for women and offers a safe haven for survivors of domestic violence and their children.

So let our voices rise in unison and join us for an evening of incredible film, conversations, sparking ideas into action, bid on our silent auction and meet with local women in your community doing great things and support what they do.
