Mothersound & A Friend, A Foe Tour
We are Mothersound, a four-piece hardcore/post-hardcore band from Los Angeles, California. Formed by members of all different musical backgrounds, we strive to bring a fresh, mature sound by pouring our hearts and souls into the music we create.

For A Friend, A Foe, being transparent, vulnerable, and a voice in the dark for those without has always taken precedence in their music. Enduring many changes and challenges through the years, the Las Vegas based quartet originally formed in 2012. Yet, their main goal still remains the same. To share both their collective and individual state of mind with those willing to listen and connect with the music. To give people something instantly relatable while simultaneously writing dynamic, hard hitting, and all together elegant- yet intrusive instrumentals. This tight-knit group consists of Matthew Jackson, Stephen Graff, Charlie Nicholson, and Juan Gutierrez; who all make contributions to the band outside of writing and performing their music, such as directing music videos, creating visuals, all production matters and independently carrying out the routine business operations.

Since the release of “Rat.” in early 2018, the band has done multiple tours. Ranging from the West Coast- up & throughout the middle of the United States, performing to some of their biggest audiences to date. Meanwhile writing, recording, and completing their first full length record with Michael Sahm (Dreamawake Audio) & Josh Bearden (Distinguisher, Nevermore Audio). With numerous tour dates booked and plenty more in the works the much anticipated release can be expected mid 2019. Featuring a satisfying blend of new and old. From heavy, “put a hole in the wall” riffs, to swaying, booming ballads, to raw, yet melodic anthems. The debut album is sure to deliver a little something for everyone, from all walks of life.
